SESSION 4/5

Here I am, back again in Son Pacs after a whole week in Malmö. It's been a wonderful experience. Would you like to see some pictures? What about tasting some Swedish chocolate?

Now let's go back to work. First thing checking homework and introducing you to reading and note taking techniques which are going to be very useful both for paper 1 and for the written assignment.

LINKS:

As you will see the compositions in both options are OPINION ESSAYS so here you have some useful notes on how to write this kind of texts.

HOMEWORK:
1. Birmingham exchange letter. (deadline Friday)
2. Compositions on the "selectivitat" tests (both options) to hand in (wednesday)

SESSION 2/3 (September 2015. Tests!!!)

Today we are going to start with a bit of "serious" work. Here you have two examples of the final tests you are going to take next year. The idea is not making you get nervous but to start familiarising with the real exams.

First a "selectivitat" test, June 2015

And an IBO sample, paper 1 IBO May 2012

HOMEWORK Wednesday:

1. Activities from 1 to 5 from the "selectivitat" test.

HOMEWORK week 21th-25th:

1. Informal letter to your partner in Birmingham. See notes on your dossier about this text type.
Create a GOOGLE DOC and share it with me. Be original and interesting! Don't forget to add a recent picture.
INFORMATION:
- Basic personal details + personality
- Family
- Town/village
- Daily life. Hobbies, activities, etc.
- Interests
- School
This is only a list of ideas. If you want to write about something different, you can do it. Think what you would like to know about a partner and be original.

2. Finish Text A and do Texts C and D (IBO).
